Pricing & Tender specialist Ocean Freight

As a Pricing & Tender specialist you full in a new spot in the organisation. This means that you can also adapt the position and take ownership of it.

You'll have to:

• Analyze and understand pricing request and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
• Support the entire tender process which includes analyzing and validating information from internal stakeholders, developing response formats and pricings matrices, responding to queries and submitting RFQ’s to customers or bid owners.
• Ensure complete and competitive pricing, meeting customer requirements.
• On time submission with high quality in the format required.
• Escalate in case issues cannot be resolved on time.
• Reviews and benchmark pricing to ensure competitive submissions to the customer.
• Monitor and follow up on bid status and results.
• Work with and keep updated with pricing relevant software and tool.

Who are you?

• Strong and enhanced user skills with Microsoft Excel (Pivot table, V/H Lookup etc.).
• Knowledge of forwarding business, willingness to go the extra mile to meet deadlines.
• Good project and time management skills to stay on top of multiple deadlines for multiple bids in parallel.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to properly engage with regional and country stakeholders and pricing teams of different cultural backgrounds. (NL/ENG)
• Strong analytical mind ideally paired with operational experience to analyze customer requirements and be able to quickly understand and challenge country bid input.
• Ability to work under pressure to cope with periods of high workload and tight timelines.
• Proven ability to work independently and as a team member.
• To maintain confidentiality at all times.
