Container Administration Officer
Job description
Responsibilities:
- Holding parties accountable and recovering damages to empty containers (import & export). This includes depots, terminals, carriers, customers, or other parties that can be held responsible for the costs.
- Recovering depot damages and/or improper repairs.
- Holding a third party accountable in case of an Act of God.
- You are responsible for empty damage claims in Belgium, and together with a colleague, for these claims in the Netherlands (for other countries, you have an advisory role).
- Frequent communication with commercial and logistics departments.
- Developing yourself in the field of maintenance & repair tasks.
- Working closely with our headquarters to implement procedures and guidelines.
- Managing and monitoring empty damage claims.
- Analyzing and reporting on recovered claims.
- Planning and following up on a physical joint survey.
- Associated administrative tasks, such as monthly invoicing or preparing invoices.
Your Profile:
- At least 4 years of experience in the field of empty damage claims and an affinity with maintenance & repair tasks.
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English with knowledge of the technical jargon, both spoken and written. Knowledge of French and German is a plus.
- Ability to work with current technology and the most common software.
- Customer-oriented, reliable, stress-resistant, independent working method, problem-solving ability, and proactive behavior.
