The Key Account Manager (KAM) with a hunter profile is responsible for identifying, prospecting, and acquiring new key accounts in line with the company's growth objectives. This role demands a proactive approach to sales, focusing on expanding the customer base and achieving revenue targets.
Your tasks and responsibilities
- Prospecting & Lead Generation: Identify potential key accounts and generate new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to penetrate and acquire new accounts, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, understanding their needs, and offering tailored solutions.
- Sales Presentations: Conduct compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients, emphasizing value propositions and unique selling points.
- Negotiation & Closing: Negotiate terms of agreements to close sales and meet or exceed sales targets.
- Market Intelligence: Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify new opportunities and challenges.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Provide regular sales forecasts, updates, and reports to the management team, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as marketing, product development, and customer service to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with product knowledge, sales techniques, and industry best practices to remain competitive in the market.
Your profile
- Minimum of 7 years experience in a sales or business development role, preferably within Consumer and Retail, Chemicals, Automotive industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and acquiring new accounts.
- Strong networking, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficient in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Goal-oriented with a strong drive to succeed.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated and proactive approach to sales.
- Adaptability to evolving market conditions and customer needs.
