Successful capacity planning requires confident leadership and working with the entire team to identify risks, explore solutions, minimize costs, reach consensus, execute solutions quickly and enhance service levels. Are you ready? 

Your Role

The role of capacity planner within logistics is a dynamic role which includes wearing multiple hats: focussing on the big picture roadmap but also the details.  This requires an in-depth understanding of the logistics process at all levels, including capacity considerations for physical space, assets and personnel.
This is a new role, created to support our famous construction toys customer and its growing activity.

Your Responsibilities

  • Analyse historical data and forecast demand to determine capacity requirements. 
  • Collaborate with operations and admin teams to align capacity with demand fluctuations. 
  • Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions to enhance efficiency. 
  • Present recommendations to the leadership team and drive decision making on close capacity/demand gaps.
  • Develop key measurement systems to ensure new capacity requirements are scrubbed and key decisions are made timely. 
  • Generate and communicate regular and ad-hoc reporting as required; Ensure a consistent communication flow with the internal teams and customer.
  • Participate in strategic planning discussions related to expansion and optimization; Prepare and participate in customer meetings. 

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree with several years of experience in Logistics and/or planning;
  • High degree of organizational, administrative, communication skills,  self-motivation and solution driven.
    Analytical and logical method of working with very structured approach and follow-up. Being skilled in statistical methods and predictive modelling is a must;
  • Able to work independently and within a team; Capable of working in a demanding, deadline-driven environment with competing priorities and a focus on delivering results;
  • Good interpersonal and strong communication skills, both written and oral;
  • Excellent skills in MS Office; Excel advanced level;
  • Fluency in English and Dutch is required.
