Warehouse Supervisor

We are looking for a motivated Supervisor to manage our teams in our warehouse in Tessenderlo,

Your Role

Your Responsibilities

• Responsible for securing operations by achieving KPIs and coaching your foremen. You stand above your foremen and are jointly responsible for managing your team of warehouse employees.
• Coaching your foremen in the day-to-day management and ensure that they achieve the predefined productivity, safety and quality targets. 
• Steer the operation in achieving the long-term objectives and act as the final responsible party towards your team, by means of clear objectives, daily consultations, evaluations, training, work accident analyses, sickness absence interviews, etc. 
• Achieve optimal operations, you will consult with the planning department, fellow team leaders, operations manager and various internal support services.
• Foster continuous improvement culture. After your yellow belt training, you are responsible for leading and implementing improvement projects and applying the 5S methodology. 
• Ensure that the safety rules are respected by carrying out regular safety rounds, analysing industrial accidents, passing on safety topics, etc.

Your Skills and Experiences

• Strong leader who knows how to translate operational KPIs into efficient working practices on the floor and ensure their safeguarding.
• Experience forming and motivating a team to work together towards a goal. You know how to adapt to different situations and colleagues and change your approach if necessary.
• Fluent in preparing reports in excel, handling a warehouse management system and working with MS Office applications.
• Drive, independence, solution orientation characterise you as a person.
• Fluency in English and Dutch is required.
• Two-shift system (6-14h / 14-22h), flexibility around this is needed.
