Our client is looking for a local procurement & pricing specialist. You will be responsible for the procurement and pricing of ocean and/or intermodal rates and defines the Transport products in the respective country.

• Ocean and intermodal procurement in the country
• Arrange filing of procured contract rates in rate repository system
• Set margins for new business in concert with management and regional team
• Tender Procurement & Pricing
• Calculation & production of transport quotations in concert with sales
• Analysis & optimization of existing transport business (solutions & margins)
• Working on client specific transport solutions in concert with sales and regional team
• Troubleshooting, needcase escalate issues to regional/management level
• Maintain strong relationship with local ocean carrier contacts
• Customer visits in concert with sales
• Safeguard core carrier utilization in concert with Regional Procurement
• Safeguard data integrity in booking system
• Work on RFQs in pricing system , enter RFQs on behalf of sales if needed
• Monitoring of quote success
• Reporting of country specific data to the Regional Director
• Local carrier management with regards to general cooperation and payment conditions
• Focal point for Operations and Sales

We're looking for:

• Must have a High School degree or equivalent
• A minimum experience of 3 years of carrier or freight forwarding industry is required (preferably procurement experience)
• Knowledge in MS Excel
• Combined excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to analyse situations and to make good decisions based on available information.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing policies and procedures.
• Must have a charismatic and confident personality as well as an exceptional work ethic.
• Good Telephone and Email etiquette
• Good command of the local and English language
