Our client is looking for an experienced Pricing Coordinator to join the pricing desk team in Antwerp. In this role, you will focus on preparing, presenting, and negotiating offers that meet the needs of both existing and new customers, while building relationships with carriers and transport companies. A deep understanding of sea freight logistics, and other logistic pricing along with the ability to develop competitive offers, is key to success in this role.
· Customer Relationship Management:
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers, ensuring that their logistics needs are understood and addressed with tailored offers.
• Serve as the main point of contact for customer inquiries, ensuring prompt and clear communication.
· Offer Development & Presentation:
• Develop and present customized offers for sea freight and logistics services by analyzing customer needs, pricing trends, and market conditions.
• Work with internal teams to gather the most accurate pricing, ensuring offers are financially competitive and operationally feasible.
• Negotiate pricing and service terms with customers, balancing their needs with profitability and operational capabilities.
• Provide detailed and timely follow-up on all submitted offers, addressing any queries and ensuring smooth deal closure.
• Consistently revise and adapt offers based on customer feedback, ensuring that our services remain aligned with customer expectations and market demands.
· Carrier & Transport Partner Collaboration:
• Build strong relationships with sea freight carriers, transport companies and/or other logistics partners, ensuring that partnerships support the creation of competitive and timely offers.
• Negotiate rates and service agreements with logistics partners to ensure competitive pricing and reliable service for customers.
• Work closely with procurement and operations teams to align carrier agreements with customer-specific offers.
· Sales Strategy & Target Achievement:
• Consistently meet or exceed sales targets by driving the offer development process and closing deals with both new and existing customers.
• Work closely with the external sales team to align on market strategies and maximize customer acquisition and retention.
· Market Insight & Reporting:
• Stay informed on the pricing market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements to develop timely and relevant offers.
• Provide feedback and insights to management on offer performance, market conditions, and areas for improvement.
We're looking for:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of inside sales experience in sea freight logistics, logistic pricing and freight forwarding.
• Strong experience in preparing and negotiating offers and pricing agreements for customers in the logistics industry.
• In-depth knowledge of international logistics, sea freight operations, and other logistics pricing dynamics.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with a proven ability to develop competitive and customer-centric offers.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, especially in preparing offers and ensuring accuracy.
• Results-driven, with a proactive approach to business development and customer engagement.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
• Languages: Dutch, French and English. German would be plus.
